Glass Splashbacks & Glass Shower Screens from Geelong Splashbacks Conforms to AG/601 & AS/NZS1288 Australian Glass Standards.

Once cut to size all cut-out requirements and edge processing are completed prior to the glass being heat treated to the requirements of Australain Glass Standard AS2208 which results in ‘Grade A Safety Glass’. This type of glass is commonly referred to as ‘Toughened Glass’.

‘Toughened Glass’ is approximately six times stronger than Float Glass and can withstand temperature differences of up to 280oC as opposed to 50-60oC for Float Glass. ‘Toughened Glass’ cannot be cut, drilled or machined in any shape or form.

NOTE: Geelong Splashbacks ‘only’ uses glass that conforms to the Building Code of Australia ( BCA ). Requests or demands to use cheaper inferior glass ( non-toughened ) will result in Geelong Splashbacks rejecting the project, regardless if others offer and quote cheaper options.

Installation will occur in approximately 2 – 4 weeks.

Installation will take approximately 2 - 4 hours.

Protective footwear must be worn by Installers as required by WorkSafe Victoria. - ( if flooring is a concern please have adequate non-slip protection in place prior to Installers arrival )

Please ensure clear access to – Driveway, Hallways, Kitchen, Bathroom, Laundry ( i.e., area of installation ) – prior to Installers arrival.

Please ensure clear and clean Work Areas – Kitchen, Bathroom, Laundry ( i.e., area of installation ) – prior to Installers arrival.

Please do not use the cooktop within one ( 1 ) hour of appointment.

Area of installation will be a ‘no go zone’ for 24 hours. ( HINT – a good idea is to wrap a towel around taps to remind you not to use them )

Geelong Splashbacks will leave your premises as neat and tidy or better than before we arrived ( YES - we Clean Up After Ourselves and Remove 'Our' Rubbish  ).

Oven / Dishwasher can be used after 4 hours of installation.

To Ensure the Maximum Duration of Your New Fantastic Product from Geelong Splashbacks:

Clean your Product on a Regular Basis

NEVER use Abrasive or Harsh Products that include Cleaning Items and Chemicals on the Glass, they will Ruin the Glass Forever !!

Clean Regularly Around the Bottom and Corners of Framed Shower Screens, Especially the Hard to Get into Places ( try a toothbrush at medium pressure in the corners and framing joins to avoid scum build up, it will make it last longer )

Wipe Dry Silicone Sealants Behind Kitchen Sinks and all Other Wet Areas to Avoid Pre-Mature Mould Build Up

Wipe Dry and Clean Silicone Sealants Behind Cooktops to Avoid Pre-Mature Mould Build Up and Silicone Discolouration from Cooking Splatter.

Keep Sliding Wardrobe Tracks Clean with a simple Vacuum, this will Minimise Damage to the Nylon Wheels from Hard Small Grit.

Ensure Plenty of Ventilation in Wet Areas to Avoid Ideal Mould and Bacteria Breeding Conditions.

Open and Close Shower Screen and Wardrobe Doors with a Constant Smooth Action with a Secure Hand held Grip from Start to Finish.

When Opening or Closing, Do Not Freely Swing and Release Your Secure Hand Held Grip of Shower Screen and Wardrobe Doors causing them to Slam with the Possibility of Breaking Them.
